Week in Pictures

001. The countdown to christmas has (almost) finally began, and I'm so excited. I've been doing loads of christmas shopping trying to get everything sorted so I'm stress free to enjoy the count down. I love christmas shopping once everywhere is decked out in their christmas decorations! I'd also had a look throught the Versace collection for H&M, which hit stores two weeks ago and sold out in a day. I didn't like it too much though but had to share the giant bag with you guys.

002. We always find ourselves piggin' out slightly once the holidays come around which all the tins of chocolates and candy canes. I've been trying to keep a healthy balance too as I really don't want to over eat this year, although that will probably go out the window once the christmas sweets are out.

003. Winter is offically here and this year I am not braving the cold just to look fashionable! Me and Amelia have been wrapping up warm, I really want it to snow for christmas this year. Although I hate the ice it leaves behind I think snow on christmas is just perfect.

Update.

I know I haven't been blogging too much lately. It upsets me slightly because I love to blog but life is just so busy at the moment and with a five month old I never really get time out to just do whatever. This is the reason I missed Amelias 5 month update (shes 6 months in 2 weeks). So I thought I'd include her in this update.

Amelias 22 weeks now (as of yesterday). Shes trying really hard to crawl but hasn't had too much luck so far other than moving an cm maybe! She is standing though, which she finds very fun even when she does fall over. And shes sitting up but becoming more demanding every day as she is very social and loves attention.

I'm so looking forward to her first christmas in 30 days!
I've been christmas shopping trying to get it all done so I can just relax until the big day.
Are you all sorted?

Vivienne Westwood

So my lovely postman knocked on my front door two weeks ago and handed me a lovely package with the most amazing boots I had bought from Vivienne Westwood! I'd wanted these boots for a while but they are quite hard to find as these are the older stock. I really wanted these ones because I think they're much cuter than the newer ones. I've only wore these once so far and as much as I love them they aren't as comfy as I'd like, but maybe I just need to break them in first. I don't tend to really like wellies but I'm loving the cute bows on these. I'm so sick of ruining my shoes in the snow and getting frozen feet so I'm all ready for the snow/rain this year!

The Box Bag

Hey Ladies!
I was going to do a recent purchases post but thought this bag deserved a post all to itself, mainly due to the amount of photos I felt necessary! I picked this up on a shopping trip the other week in Primark, so yes you guessed it was a complete bargin! I think it was £4. Its quite small so if you're anything like me you couldn't possibly fit everything in this one bag (unless it was a night out maybe?). I plan to wear it with my phone, purse, oyster card those type of things in as I always have a big handbag on the pram anyway. I'm not too keen on the body chain but what do you expect for £4?

Remembrance Day

Remembrance Day (also known as Poppy Day Or Armistice Day) is a memorial day observed in the Commonwealth countires since the end of World War I to remember and pay respects to the many members of their armed forces who had died in the line of duty. Remembrance Day is observed on 11 November to recall the offical end of the World War I on that date in 1918, hostilities offically ended at the 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month.

The red remembrance poppy has become a tradition of Remembrace Day due to the poem 'In Flanders Fields'. Thes poppies grew across some of the worst battlefields of Flanders in the war, their red colour an appropriate symbol for the blood spilled in the war.

Remembrance Day is close to my heart as we remember all whose who lost their lives, losing a family member myself. Remembrance Day is the one day a year we can all really think about what those men fighting did for us all today.

I always buy a poppy to wear with pride remembering those who paid for our freedom.

Lets Talk Hair

I've been through a massive journey with my hair. My hair is naturally red and when I was about 16 I got sick of it. I didn't want to dye my hair so instead thought I'd cut it, which turnt out to be the worse thing I could have done. It was cut to my shoulders which I really liked, for about two days. I started buying single extensions which I has to sew together to thicken then sew clips on to clip them in with. I really hated them as they would go frizzy after washing them, they looked thin against my naturally thick hair and stayed straight in the rain while my hair would curl as its naturally curly. Then I started to get glue-in extensions which I loved. My hairdresser would come to my house and also did/does the hair of Kate Moss, Pixie Lott, Lily Allen and went to work with Beyonce. So as you can guess she is amazing. I use to buy the same hair Cheryl Cole buys so it was great quality but cost about £200, then another £200 to have it all done. Which is why when four months pregnant I decided to take them out and not spend anymore money on extensions when I could spend it on my baby. My hair has now got quite long (all pictures are with my natural hair as it is now) but is nowhere near the length it was and for about the last month or so I've had loads fall out (due to pregnancy). I get loads of questions/comments on my hair so thought I'd show you guys my favorite products to use. I have two boxes, a draw and bags full of products so didn't want to overload of pictures of everything!

Andrew Bartons hair products just smell amazing, like fudge. I wouldn't say this is the best thing I could use on my hair but I just love how it smells! I love using the conditioning hair mask, says to use twice a week but I'd normally use once a week unless my hair is dry as my hair only needs washing twice a week. I use all different hair masks, Loreal's are amazing.

Another hair mask! This is one of the best 'curl' products I've never used. As I said my hair is naturally curly (see above picture) so I love to use products specially made for curly hair. This leaves my hair soft and moistured (again see above pic). I think its great vaule for what you get as you don't need to use alot of the product and I sometimes mix it with a conditioner.

I love angel fish products, I think Boots normally do christmas gift packs with these products so take a look if you're interested. I use this if I'm going to straightern my hair, it leaves hair lovely and soft but too much can leave your hair looking/feeling a little greazy.

Only hairsprays I use, need I say more?

Almond Oil is the best thing you can put through your hair, more so if its dry. If its only really your ends which are dry just apply to the ends. Put this on about a hour or so before washing, I then pull my hair up in a bun so I don't get oil everywhere.

Dry Shampoo.

Oh, hello winter.

I'm always on a search for the best winter coat which really isn't easy as I don't really like coats. I have loads of dark coloured coats and jackets so am on the look out for a lighter colour. I want to be warm but not feel frumpy, which I do in most coats. I'm quite liking the looks of these two both available at ASOS.

I'm thinking of going for the first one, my only worry is that it wont go with everything.
Opinions?

Favorites - MAC Special

I never seem to do many monthly favorites anymore. I thought I'd do a MAC special for the month of October as I've mainly been using MAC products last month.
Heres my MAC favorites;

When I was a little younger I hated the thought of lipstick and stick to my lipgloss but as I've got older I'm a huge lipstick lover and would pick it over lipgloss anyday. I love MAC lipsticks but these are my faves.
(L-R)
Speed Dial, Snob, Pretty Please, Dress It Up.

Skin is probably the most important part of your look. I hated foundation up until a little while ago. When I was about 17 I bought a MAC foundation which I tried once and gave it to my mum as I hated the way it looked (I bought the foundation brush at the same time but kept it). I normally have clear skin but since being pregnant I'd started to break out a little. Since giving birth my skins calmed right down again but it made me feel quite insecure so I bought this MAC foundation which is in the colour NW20 and apply it with my foundation brush 190. I love it and actually don't think I could live without it! I used the refined zone treatment (the smaller tube) for places such as my nose or chin as its quite a small tube so wouldn't last too long with whole face use. And use the face protection primer for the rest of my face or the GOSH primer which are perfect for this foundation and leave my skin looking flawless.

I like to use the Antiqued eyeshadow in different places for all different looks. Its quite a dark glam eyeshadow but can be toned down for a lovely bit more made up day look, and I swear by my 213 eyeshadow brush.

Lip primer. I have never seen this blogged or even mentioned before which really surprises me. I've had this a year now and could honestly NEVER live without it now! I use to always use POP's or LUSH's lip exfoliaters to prep my lips for my lipstick but this is just the best thing ever, as that is what its made for. If you do suffer from dry lips this wont solve that at all as its just made to be a primer so you'll still need a scrub but if like me you find lipstick sometimes drying out your lips or you'd just like to make it last longer, you need this product! My lipstick could last all day, minus the food and drink!

I have real problems with mascara and finding one I really like (Plush Lash). I own about 50 different and still couldn't say I have the perfect one, but I do love this. I love a mascara to give the illusion of longer fuller lashes without giving me the dreaded spider lashes. I was spent the MAC makeup remover ages ago free of charge, its just a little sample and its not my normal makeup remover but thought I'd include it as it is amazing for removing tough makeup.

This blusher has turnt into my all time fave blusher... for now.. (Well Dressed). I have a weak spot for blusher as I love to add abit of colour to my cheeks without overdoing it and this does the job perfectly. And last but not least its concealer in NC15, every girl needs a good concealer right?
